Tech Tip_2 : If you don't have webcam for your Laptop, use your Phone as webcam

During this pandemic situation most of industries are adopting work from home. This made people to switch to video calls for coordination of work, team meetings and conferences and more. The sudden shift  made people need of better-quality web camera and also prefer to use desktops ,Laptop we use now a days has webcam, but while coming to Personal desktop(PC) most of them are not having inbuilt cam and webcam cost you around $10 - $160 (Rs:700-12k) depend on quality. This lock-down made difficult to get  webcam. 
But most people already had a webcam in they hands, Your Android phone can be used as webcam so that you can avoid buying webcam, even now a days mobile cam are coming with high resolution. 

They are many ways to use your smartphone as webcam. Most services like ZOOM, GOOGLE MEET having app from app store, you just install them and login, and use your phone's selfie camera and microphone to be part of meeting. This method not much useful if you're presenting something or share your screen. That is where it helps to convert your smartphone into a webcam if you don't have one for your desktop or if the cam is  not working in your laptop.

Method I      : Iriun 4k webcam 

  • First install Iriun 4k webcam app from google play store and desktop app from website
  • Open Iriun webcam app and launch app then start wencam server on your PC
  • Phones automatically connected to PC if both are connected to same Wi-Fi network 
  • Once you get video in desktop. Open Zoom app or Microsoft Skype setting to select Iriun webcam in video settings options. 
  • You can also change resolution settings of mobile front and back cams in mobile app.
Method  II    : IPWeb Cam

Method  III  : DroidCam

Both methods I & II have similar settings
  •  First need to install app in mobile and download windows client on your PC. 
  • Open the app on your android phone,make sure your desktop and phone are connected to same      Wi-Fi  network  or even work if your desktop is connected via Ethernet.
  • Open windows client and paste the IP on the computer.
  • Phone app will launch the camera and you'll able to see feed on PC.
You can also connect via USB cable.
